Thursday Yankee: Hear here…

As we’ve said before, the secret to yankee betting is getting all your winners at once – well we seem to have trawled every means to find a loser this week, so hopefully that well is running dry and we’ll just be drawing winners now…

The Daily Yankee:

Hear The Chimes (1530 Huntingdon), 8/1:  Ran his lifetime best when trotting up here on his only previous run at the track.  That was 2 years ago, but he was placed just 2 runs ago and is entitled to improve on his recent runs now that he should be at peak fitness.  Not the strongest race, and a return to that old course effort would easily be enough.

Rene’s Girl (1605 Huntingdon), 9/4:  At her best she is a bold jumping front-running mare, and this is a course that should suit.  She may get competition for the lead from Desert Queen, but that one looked badly out of form when last seen, and Harry Skelton will have his tactics well worked out as always.

Must Havea Flutter (1640 Huntingdon), 7/4:  Absolutely blitzed his opponents on the weekend on his second chase start.  Gets a 7lb penalty but that would have been nowhere near enough to stop him last time, and he should follow up with ease.

Roxyfet (1705 Sedgefield), 5/4:  Was a very comfortable winner here over Christmas, and was a little unlucky to run second last time when 16l clear of the rest.  Up just a further pound for that effort, the course form is pretty compelling against a disappointing looking line up.  Jockey O’Toole still claims a very useful 3lbs.
