Europa League: Arsenal face a blank in Milan

After the delightful fillet mignon of the Champions League comes the mouldy cheese board of the Europa League.

The Premier League’s sole remaining representative is Arsenal, and they have a tricky away tie against AC Milan.

The Gunners are in the midst of a difficult spell. They have lost four games in a row for the first time since October 2002, and are missing several important players, including main strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. They now face a side which is being revitalised by former player-now manager Gennaro Gattuso.

Gattuso took over as manager in November after the former giant of the Italian game went on a bad run. They are now unbeaten in 13 matches.

We think the Italians will pile more trouble on Arsenal’s doorstep by taking advantage of their weakened state to win without conceding.

Recommendation: AC Milan to win to nil, 1 pt, at 5/2, Paddy Power
