PGA Tour: Kouch to tame the Snake Pit

The PGA Tour returns to Florida after a brief trip south of the border, with the Innisbrook Resort hosting the Valspar Championship.

A tight tree-bound course, the players also  have to play through the Snake Pit, the final three holes which are widely recognised as one of the toughest closing stretches on Tour.

We’re going to side with a couple of accurate players and hope they catch fire on the greens.

First up is Matt Kuchar. He has enjoyed playing at this course in the past, and has missed only one cut in 10 trips here, including finishing in the top 25 on seven occasions. His form of late has been a little patchy, but he’s now back playing at one of his favourite courses.

Our second selection is Chez Reavie. This American golfer has a solid record here, including four finishes of T-27 or better, but rarely has he turned up here in such form. He has finished second in two PGA Tour events already this season, and if he can get his putter working then must have a chance.

Recommendations:

Kuchar 0.5 pts each way at 50/1, 1/5 the odds for first seven places, Coral

Reavie 0.5 pts each way at 60/1, 1/5 the odds for first seven places, Boyle Sports
