PGA Tour 14th tee: Louis, Louis….

Occasionally we take a look at the state of play regarding our positions in the live golf tournament, looking to see whether we need to reload in running.

We had some success earlier this year when we picked big bomber Gary Woodland to make a late run (Kerching ! Super Sunday rains winners…).

We’re going down this path again today in the Valspar Championship in Florida, as our original picks Chez Reavie and Matt Kuchar (PGA Tour: Kouch to tame the Snake Pit) are unlikely to threaten the top of the leaderboard.

Corey Connors currently leads the field on -9, but golfing legend Tiger Woods and Olympic champion Justin Rose lurk just one shot behind.

We’re going to look a little further down the field for our new selection. Former Open champion Louis Oosthuizen stands at -4, and we think the South African star has the quality to post a low score and climb into the top five.

Recommendation: Oosthuizen to finish in the top five, 1 pt, at 6/1, BetFred
