The fourth round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill awaits today, and with our original selection, Tommy Fleetwood, too far back to contend it’s time to reload.
Swede Henrik Stenson leads the way on -12 after three rounds of the tournament, with Bryson DeChambeau leading the home challenge just one shot behind. Rory McIlroy looms large a further shot back after shooting a 67 yesterday.
However, we’re going to look a little further down the leaderboard for our bet. Former champion Jason Day also shot a superb 67 on Saturday to climb up to -5 and into the top 18.
We think a similar score on Sunday will put him into contention for a top five finish. The Australian likes this course, having won here two years ago, showed signs of top form yesterday and will not be subjected to the pressurised heat playing at the head of the tournament brings.
We’ll take the 10/1 that Paddy Power offers for Day to finish in the top five in the tournament.
Recommendation: Day to finish in the top five, 1 pt, at 10/1, Paddy Power
