Sunday Nap 2: Relax with the Sunday Paper…

So the best laid plans get immediately axed.  As soon as we had we plotted our Gordon Elliott Navan raid, news comes through of a snow abandonment.  Serves us right for not opening the curtains at Lap Of The Odds Towers – in fairness it’s been a long week !!

We won’t be rewriting a Daily Yankee now that only Limerick has survived, but there is an alternative Nap selection.

Linerick is another of those idiosyncratic Irish tracks and nothing works as well there as some previous form.

Paper Lantern (1715) has the very best kind of “previous” having won this actual race last year.  He is well up in the weights since, but he was an easy winner then, and after a spell over hurdles, returned to his best form when a close third last time back over fences.

There is nothing in this field to run scared of, and jockey Donal McInerney is well worth the useful 5lb claim that helps ensure a racing weight.

Recommendation:  Paper Lantern, (1715 Limerick), 1pt win, 11/4 generally available
