Sunday Nap: It’s a load of Bull..

Navan Abandonned – click here for updated Nap.

The better racing on a Sunday is nearly always in Ireland, Last week proved that the better horses are in Ireland, and that the best of those are stabled with Gordon Elliott.

After an amazing week plundering Gloucestershire, Gordo gets a triumphant homecoming at his favourite track, Navan.

Our highlight of the Elliott masterclass was the all-the-way easy-peasy Martin Pipe romp of Blow By Blow.

His claims were advertised by a wide margin Thurles win, but that wouldn’t have been so wide but for the last flight fall of stablemate Roaring Bull.

Had the Bull stayed on his feet, a likely 5 or 6 length defeat would now look excellent form.

He drops back to 2 miles today, but that will feel like much longer around the notoriously stiff Navan track, and he looks set to score.

Jockey Jack Kennedy will be flying high after last week, and the combination can continue the Elliott bandwagon.

Recommendation:  Roaring Bull, (1455 Navan), 1pt win, 4/1 generally available
