Lingfield keeps us going today, and we won’t be waiting long for our day to develop as we get stuck into the opener.
World Of Good is a hot favourite having won her first race for training wonder Olly Murphy. That was a tidy win, and a 3lb rise is pretty fair. That said, the Murphy horses are well spotted by the bookies now, and the market may have overreacted to that win.
Second favourite Masquerade Bling was unlucky to lose here three runs ago, but fourth of four last time was less encouraging.
We like Caledonia Laird. This 7yo is a bit of an all weather veteran now having plied his hand/hoof from marks in the low 60s.
He had a break before running at Wolves three weeks ago. Dropped to 57, he ran an eye-catching third under a quiet ride from the inexperienced Poppy Bridgewater.
Harry Burns gets the leg up this time, again utilising a full 7lb claim. He has 13 career wins and is a more potent force in the saddle.
Recommendation: Caledonia Laird (1420 Lingfield), 1pt win, 13/2 Bet365
