The Daily Yankee:
Monfass, (1505 Wetherby), 10/3: The Rose Dobbin trained 7yo is often a smooth traveller in his races. He was penalised for an easy Carlisle win, but has looked threatening off this higher mark but has lacked punch in the finish. This is a drop in class and he has a great chance to see it through to the line.
Dedigout, (1540 Wetherby), 7/2: Veteran who was once a decent horse in Ireland. Now in much shallower waters in his old age but was very unlucky not to win either of his last two starts. A tactically simple front runner who should suit jockey Joe Colliver, he can take advantage of doubts around the market leaders.
Vj Day, (1840 Newcastle), 9/4: won here two weeks ago in impressive fashion. Up 6lbs, but entitled to be improving fast after just 5 lifetime runs. Can keep the winning habit.
Russian Realm, (2045 Newcastle), 9/2: A useful hold-up sprinter he showed buckets of promise last time when a closing 3rd here on first run since September. Can build on that here.
