Friday Nap: Hutch to land touch…

A decent Newbury card this afternoon, and a chance to get stuck into a progressive novice chaser.

A few weeks ago we were confident that runaway Market Rasen winner Must Havea Flutter would repeat a few days later at Huntingdon.  He ran very well, but he couldn’t land a hoof on Kincora Fort.

The Noel Williams trained novice jumped with great fluency and ran out a cosy winner with the two form horses well clear of the rest.  We suspect that is excellent form, and indeed the form of Kincora Fort’s earlier Leicester win is working out well.

This extra trip should help further, he handles the soft ground, but equally any drying weather will be no issue as he registered a nice good ground win at Kempton over hurdles before the extended injury break that preceded his return this season.

Jockey Wayne Hutchinson is one of the most reliable in the business, and knows this horse well.  The opposition are nothing to be scared of, and he can land this as a stepping stone to bigger targets next season.

Recommendation:  Kincora Fort, (1430 Newbury), 1pt win, 5/2 generally available.
