After the frustration of a two week international break, the Premier League returns.
The early game today sees high flying Liverpool travel to south London to take on Crystal Palace. League positions and form both point to an away win.
The Reds are trying to consolidate their Champions League qualifying position in third while Palace languish in 16th spot, just two points off the relegation zone. Similarly, Palace have lost each of their last three home matches against Liverpool in all competitions, while the visitors have lost just twice in their last 22 league games.
However, another factor rears its head – Liverpool’s Champions League quarterfinal clash with Manchester City on Wednesday. Can Jurgen Klopp keep his players fixed on the immediate job in hand or will their attention wander?
Whatever the answer there’s no doubt about the way Liverpool will set up to play – all out attack! Mo Salah has been their star player this season, and the Palace defenders will be fully aware of this. This may give the other Liverpool attackers some space to exploit.
While Salah is around 7/2 to score twice today his partner Sadio Mane is top priced at 8/1. We’ll take a chance with Sadio.
Recommendation: Mane to score twice, 1 pt, at 8/1, Paddy Power
