Champions League: City to come from behind…

English interest in the Champions League boils down to tonight’s first leg, Liverpool hosting Manchester City.

City are on the verge of winning the Premier League title and have clearly been the team of the season in England. However, they now face the one side they have lost to this season in the league.

Liverpool won that league clash at Anfield  with a high-tempo pressing game. They are sure to want to take a lead back to the Etihad Stadium and are likely to fly at City from the off.

The problem with this approach is that it’s  very tiring, particularly against a side that passes the ball as well as City does. The visitors will also be very aware of awaits.

We at Lap of the Odds can see Liverpool taking an early lead, but think they could have difficulty holding on. After all they  took a 4-1 lead in the league game, but ended up hanging on at 4-3.

SkyBet offers 10/1 that City win the game after falling behind, and we’ll be on that.

Recommendation: City to win after going behind, 1 pt, at 10/1, SkyBet
