Jump racing returns (probably) at Fontwell, but the heavy going could make things too unpredictable, so it’s another day of all-weather dieting…
The Daily Yankee:
Zac Brown, (1555 Lingfield), 5/2: was returning from a wind op recently when a decent 4th at Chelmsford. A pound better off for a head with Just That Lord should make this very close, but Zac can win what is close to a match and add to an outstanding recent strike rate for the Wallis yard.
Satchville Flyer, (1945 Chelmsford), 11/2: worth giving one last chance to a horse with six 2nds since his last win. Two course wins and three 2nds in eight runs here suggest he should like conditions and favourite Mr Potter is an even bigger dodgepot. Expect de Sousa to force Satchvile home.
Jack Nevison, (2045 Chelmsford), 5/1: has course winning form in the Autumn under a forceful ride in a first time visor. Ran ok without headgear at Wolves first time back from a break, but now gets the visor and De Sousa in a clear statement of intent to make all, and he could just pull it off.
Geetanjali, (2115 Chelmsford), 5/2: looked like nothing in three maiden runs and was handicapped accordingly, but then won on handicap debut recently off 54. That was a good effort overcoming traffic issues, and a 3lb rise continues to look generous.
