Wednesday Nap: Get Rich quick…

After yesterday’s washout of our Hexham nap, we’re doing our best to avoid abandonment by sticking to the all weather at one of our favourite synthetics – Kempton Park.

It’ll have to be a patient wait as it will be the concluding sprint handicap (2115) that grabs the attention.

Recent winners Billyoakes (Chelmsford) and Red Invader (Lingfield) both like to be up with the pace.  They don’t have much of a record here though and a pace duel could set this up for a closer.

Well if it’s a Kempton loving 6f closer we need, then step forward New Rich.

Eve Johnson-Haughton’s track regular has recorded 5 of his 7 lifetime wins over this course and distance, most recently in January.

He has remained in good form since and was arguably unlucky when a close third here last time from a very bad draw.  That may have been a decent contest and the form looks solid.

With everything in his favour, New Rich can make a late bid to mow down the pacesetters and add another notch to the old Kempton girth strap.

Recommendation: New Rich (2115 Kempton), 1pt win, 6/1 generally available
