When the flat season started at Doncaster we took a punt at a long price that Mick Channon’s Mobsta would rediscover his old form in the mud under Champion Silvestre De Sousa.
Well the world followed us in on that punt, his price collapsing in a way that suggested he must be showing spark at home.
In the end the race was a disaster – slowly away, tracking the slow paced side of the course, getting repeatedly hampered, yet still staying on well for fourth.
We don’t need to guess anymore if he is on form as he undoubtedly is. Today’s sprint handicap at Windsor (1620) lacks much class, and the dropped in grade Mobsta looks set to gain compensation .
On the downside, 11/1 is now 11/8, but he looks set to win here, and it is nice to start the week by collecting and effectively having a free bet tomorrow.
Recommendation: Mobsta, (1620 Windsor), 1pt win, 11/8 generally available
