Premier League: United to be defensively strong…

Tonight’s Premier League clash sees Manchester United travel south to take on Bournemouth.

United will be keen to make up the disappointment of Sunday’s defeat at home to West Brom, a loss which ended a five-match winning run.

They have a FA Cup semifinal against Spurs on the weekend and some changes are likely, but manager Jose Mourinho has made great play of the fact his team are in second position and will not be keen to give opponents like Liverpool the chance to catch up.

The hosts may not be mathematically safe yet, but it would take an abrupt turn of form from several teams below them for relegation to be an issue.

And that’s a relief, because Bournemouth have only won one of their last eight Premier League games and have only beaten United twice in 13 in all competitions.

We expect a professional performance by United (with their ears burning after Sunday’s result) and see the visitors winning without conceding.

Recommendation: Manchester United to win to nil, 1 pt, at 5/2, widely available
