Thursday Nap: Rose to bloom at last…

Aaaarrrrghhh !!!!  Yesterday’s attempt to land a 5th successive winning nap was entrusted to the biggest of our blog trolls, Singlefarmpayment.  Having been denied by a nose at last year’s Cheltenham Festival it looked like an action replay as he got touched off by a short head back at Cheltenham yesterday.  We’ll recover our composure, not soon, but eventually.

The Sod’s Law that is race tipping throws one of our other notorious trolls at us in the shape of Fergal O’Brien’s mare Oscar Rose.

She has looked very well handicapped.  She should have won at Taunton for us only for the saddle to slip.  We then went in strong for the big mares hurdle at Newbury but having been given a patient ride then making up plenty of ground her effort petered out in the mud.

Better ground here should suit her on breeding and Paddy Brennan maintains the team.  She seems to have overcome early jumping issues, and looks well worth one more punt under these conditions.

Recommendation:  Oscar Rose, (1515 Cheltenham), 1pt win, 11/1 Ladbroke & Coral
