There’s Monday night football in the Premier League this week, with Tottenham hosting Watford.
Spurs have been playing very well in the league of late, and are uunbeaten against today’s opponent in 12 games in all competitions since October 1994.
Watford, on the other hand, are in a poor run, with just one point from their last 10 away games. And they have a dreadful record at Spurs.
Tottenham will want to rebound from defeat in the FA Cup semifinal and will want to guarantee Champions League participation next season.
All this points to a comfortable home win, and we at Lap of the Odds agree. Usually this points to Harry Kane goals, but we think he’s looked a little short of top sharpness since coming back from injury. We wouldn’t put anyone off backing him to score, but we’re going to side with an inform player – Christian Eriksen.
The Danish midfielder has contributed five goals and three assists in his last eight games, and we’ll back him for man of the match award.
Recommendation: Eriksen to be man of the match, 1 pt, at 4/1, William Hill
