Champions League: Roma to win; Both teams scoring

The Eternal City awaits Liverpool as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League final for the first time in over 10 years.

The Reds hold a 5-2 advantage over Roma going into the second leg and will be confident of progressing, after all no teams has overturned that lead in the history of the European Cup/Champions League.

That said, Roma produced a similar sort of miracle in the last round, turning around a 4-1 deficit against Barcelona. They achieved that result by keeping Barca scoreless in the second leg. We think they may find that tricky to do this time round. After all, Liverpool have already scored 38 goals in this season’s competition.

We think Roma will try to exert pressure on Liverpool, but at some point will leave themselves open to the counter. We look for both sides to score, with the home team just edging the result and Liverpool qualifying for the final.

Recommendation: Roma to win with both teams scoring, 1 pt, at 3/1, Betfair Sportsbook
