Wednesday Yankee: Hunting for profit…

Only Chester representing flat turf in the UK today, thankfully the dizzying tight circuit is great betting territory….

The Daily Yankee:

NAP OF THE DAY:  Hunting Horn, (1535 Chester), 1pt win, 3/1 generally available

A strong field here but it looks at the mercy of the rematched Sandown opponents Ispolini and Hunting Horn. The former finished ahead last time but Appleby’s horses have been in sublime form including on debut and he may not improve that much. In contrast, O’Brien’s often do improve and Hunting Horn looked sure to appreciate this extra distance, and he can reverse that form.

Showmethedough, (1500 Chester), 4/1:  Trainer Richard Fahey and owner Marwan Koukash love to target this meeting.  In Showmethedough they have a lightly raced potential improver, drawn nicely in stall four, and fresh from a good seasonal debut.  Looks to have Formidable Kitt to beat, but fitness advantage and draw advantage can make the difference.

Gabrial The Saint (1635 Chester), 7/1:  Another Fahey-Koukash runner.  Has shown promise but prone to over-race and fail to get home over 7f.  This drop in trip and turning track may just help him drop onto the rail in the pocket behind the pacesetters and relax before unleashing a closing straight effort.  Looks a fair price.

My Amigo, (1705 Chester), 11/2:  runner up on last three outings.  Likes to race prominently, which can suit this track, and was narrowly beaten in each of those runs when clear of the rest each time.  The last run at Doncaster was behind an extremely well handicapped opponent, this field lacks the same threat, and the sharp 7f here may suit better.
