There’s one game left of this congested Premier League footballing week, with West Ham hosting Manchester United.
It’s difficult to see what both sides have to play for tonight, West Ham are safe from relegation while Manchester United have already guaranteed their place in next season’s Champions League.
Man United played like they were already on holiday last Friday at Brighton. The Red Devils were truly awful, and manager Jose Mourinho was quick to bemoan the absence of key striker Romelu Lukaku. Well, he’s going to be missing again tonight!
West Ham played well on Saturday in defeating Leicester, but they have had difficulty against the top sides – conceding four against both Manchester City and Arsenal recently.
We at Lap of the Odds think Manchester United cannot play as badly as they did against Brighton again, particularly with FA Cup final places to play for.
We expect the visitors to win, and think Mourinho could use Alexis Sanchez as a central striker. With this in mind, we’ll take a punt on Sanchez scoring a brace.
Recommendation: Sanchez to score twice, 1 pt, at 11/1, widely available
