Thursday Yankee: Power surge at Chester…

The Daily Yankee:

NAP OF THE DAY:  Powerallied, (1350 Chester), 1pt win, 8/1 generally available

Two wins yesterday for the Fahey-Koukash combo that love this meeting and they can strike again here. Blistering speed in the inside stalls could create a cutthroat pace and that suits Powerallied who is drawn to drop into the pocket and pick up the pieces off the home bend.  He was very impressive winning here last year off a savage pace set by El Astronaute, and will be delighted to see that one in here again to help set it up.

Mr Top Hat, (1500 Chester), 10/1:  could be significant if he runs having run here just yesterday.  He was late getting going over 6f that time and looked like possibly the best horse in the race.  This extra trip should suit and a middle draw is arguably most surmountable at this trip.  It is a tough race, but he has shown he can act here and is clearly in form.

Knightly Spirit, (1635 Chester), 5/1:  we were on this fella at Doncaster last time. He looked a little ill at ease on the soft and was possibly undone by a rival with first run. This longer trip and better ground should suit and he has he ability to win this decent heat.

Never Surrender, (1705 Chester), 4/1:  is a previous winner here and course form is always a plus. Ran well when 4th on reappearance and can reverse the form with third placed Fast Dancer now back at this track.  Jockey Jamie Spencer is a top pilot and may look to make all.
