The PGA Tour heads to the iconic Murfield Village for the Memorial Tournament this week.
The vast majority of the world’s elite golfers have entered this tournament. As a result, and even with some bookies offering eight places, each way betting will be tricky as the top players are likely to fill most of these places.
Consequently, we’re going to tip two win bets. Our first selection is Justin Thomas. He is making his first start since becoming world no. 1, and will be looking to cement this status with a victory at this celebrated tournament.
The second selection may come as something of a surprise to those who know me. I’m not a fan of Tiger Woods, but it’s difficult to argue about his record around this course. He has won five times here and is in good form, having finished 12th or better in four of his last six tournaments. There is plenty of space off the tee, putting more emphasis on the second shot, which has been a strength this season.
Thomas to win, 1 pt, at 14/1, SkyBet
Woods to win, 1 pt, at 20/1, Ladbrokes
