The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Emjayem, (1830 Goodwood), 2pts win, 12/1 William Hill
This sprinter has been around for a while, and hasn’t shown his best since a runner-up effort on his only previous run here two years ago. That was off a mark of 76 and the decline in form since has seen him get in here off just 54. The logic for a turnaround is the transfer to the bang in form Patrick Chamings yard, and the promise of a quietly handled staying on effort on debut for the stable at Lingfield. Conditions here look ideal, the yard is flying and he looks a big price.
Roy Rocket, (1540 Brighton), 4/1: loves the track with all six career wins coming here. Has looked close to refunding that form here on his last two runs and his proven love of these awkward course cambers can give him the edge over market rival Hallingham.
Buzz Lightyere, (1640 Brighton), 4/1: another Brighton specialist with all three career wins here. Loves fast ground and has run well here the last twice. Favourite King Of Dreams was 8th of 9 on his only previous run here, and Buzz can land one here for Starship Command.
Presidential, (1925 Haydock), 10/3: has been in great form of late with two smooth 7f wins before just failing over a stiffer trip at Beverley. Travels with a touch of class in his races and this drop back to 6f looks a potentially shrewd move that can further his winning record.
