NAP OF THE DAY: Band Of Outlaws, (1605 Curragh), 1pt win, 5/1 Bet365
Joseph O’Brien is in flying form after his Irish Derby win yesterday and he can pick up this valuable handicap with Band Of Outlaws. This 3yo gets weight allowances and has been in good form this season progressing well until a slightly unlucky 6th last time. This looks a winnable opportunity and he looks a big price given the form of his stable.
Korbous, (1430 Curragh), 8/1: veteran who has dropped to a decent mark. Has run well on both his last runs including once here. Stays this trip really well and gets a 7lb claim from his young jockey. The market leaders look all of a muchness and he could sneak in here.
Flag Of Honour, (1640 Curragh), 11/4: two O’Brien 3yos head the market over the older brigade and the weight allowance could make them hard to beat. Jockey Ryan Moore prefers Flag Of Honour and so do we. Looked a stayer when promising at Chester so it was a surprise to see him head for the French Derby last time when staying on all too late. A step up in trip and down in class can work.
Agent Zigzag, (1750 Curragh), 7/1: has come a long way in a short time having seen a racecourse for the first time in April. His win last time at Killarney may not have been achieved against a strong field but it left a strong impression with a very smooth win hopefully signaling the start of some rapid improvement.
