The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Ship Of Dreams, (1530 Killarney), 1pt win, 5/1 generally available
Trainer Joseph O’Brien is having a superb season and his filly here has the scope to land this decent prize. Having run respectably in Guineas trials, she ran a good race under a big weight at Ascot. As a 3yo she gets the allowances and this race lacks depth for a Listed event.
Queen Rabab, (1425 Killarney), 10/3: one of the two form horses in the race, she should relish this sharp mile. Likes to race prominently but has struggled to hold on over stiff miles whilst just too late last time over 7f. This should be her “Goldilocks” trip. In contrast, main rival Signing Off needs every yard of a mile last time and may not enjoy this sharp course.
Tony The Gent, (1500 Killarney), 5/2: went very close in a valuable handicap last weekend when just too late to beat our nap. Has every chance of going one better here from a handy draw and this race looks likely to take less winning.
Birth Of Venus, (1710 Killarney), 9/4: was a fluent winner at Gowran last time and faces the challenge of confirming that form with the second. The signs are good as she hails from a yard not known for hurrying their talents, and is likely to have plenty of improvement to come.
