Cycling: Sonny afternoon….

Our stage 12 hopes were quickly in trouble yesterday as although our tip made the break, so did some leading riders limiting the rope afforded by the peleton.

Stage 13 offers a rare mid-Tour opportunity for a sprint finish.  Top sprinting names fell by the wayside in the Alps.  That may mean less teams seeking to reel in a breakaway, but there should still be enough peleton strength to bring the race together before the finish.

Green jersey holder Peter Sagan has obvious claims and is priced accordingly.

Italian sprinter Sonny Colbrelli has pushed Sagan close twice already on this Tour.  He should go well again with the slightly longer uphill. straight set to suit.

We have had a small pop at another Italian, Andrea Pasqualon already this Tour, and he is another who can benefit from the thinned our field.

Recommendations:  to win Stage 13:

Sonny Colbrelli, 0.75pts each way, 20/1 William Hill

Andrea Pasqualon, 0.25pts each way, 125/1, Bet365 & Betfair
