Monday Yankee: Sousa on the march…

The Daily Yankee:

NAP OF THE DAY: Sienna Says, (1430 Ripon), 1pt win, 5/2 generally available

Has been running consistently well all year without getting home in front. Likes to race prominently, which is perfect for Ripon, and the help of Silvestre de Sousa in the saddle is massive, as his aggressive style suits this course so much.

Sheepscar Lad, (1530 Ripon), 5/2:  much though we hate to oppose Pipers Note at his beloved Ripon, a weight hike and an outside draw looks tricky.  Sheepscar Lad however is bang in form, beautifully drawn, and has that De Sousa saddle boost.

Eyecatcher, (1630 Ripon), 13/8:  can land a treble of De Sousa winners for us at Ripon.  He only just got caught by an improver here last time.  The handicapper has been kind and his jockey today is notoriously hard to pass up this Ripon straight

Shaheen, (1830 Windsor), 5/1 :  a competitive sprint handicap could fall between the commonly owned Shaheen and Buridan.   Both have progressive profiles but Buridan is likely to have competition for the lead and this could set the race up for the strong travelling hold up tactics of Shaheen.
