The Yankee business is all about feast and famine, we’ve had plenty of famine lately – let the feast begin !!
The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Whitehall, (2015 Sandown), 1pt win, 9/4 generally available
Michael Stoute’s 3yo looks a potentially highly progressive handicapper. He betrayed his inexperience last time when completing blowing the start at Windsor, but wasn’t beaten too far in the end. Ryan Moore will be alert to the slow start and should steer him home in front this time.
King Crimson, (1400 Brighton), 9/4: This is not much of a race and could be at the mercy of the lightning quick King Crimson. His blazing tactics are a good fit to a quick Brighton and a 4lb rise for a recent win looks unlikely to stop him.
Hee Haw, (1540 Haydock), 4/1: we will give another chance to Paul Midgely’s sprinter even though he disappointed us at York last time. He had been running into form and he looked to be just too far back that day before staying on late. Haydock is another track where you can’t give leaders too much rope, but connections should be more aware of those risks now and plan accordingly.
Supreme Power, (1850 Newcastle), 7/2: has become very frustrating on turf but finally came good on this Sand last time. The front two pulled well clear then, and a 4lb rise may be manageable under matching conditions.
