The Daily Yankee;
NAP OF THE DAY: Sicario, (1550 Wolverhampton), 1pt win, 7/2 generally available
One side-product of a Galway-Goodwood focus last week was missing the reappearance of Sicario, a losing rare 3pt Nap for us on his previous run. Naturally he romped in at 13/2 !!! This may be a case of missing the wedding, but we remain convinced of his potential and he can follow up here.
Pour La Victoire, (1600 Brighton), 3/1: was third here over a mile on Wednesday and runs all his best races here. He has winning form at this trip and gets the useful 7lb claim of Poppy Bridgewater who has form of 221 on the horse.
Island Of Life, (1930 Chelmsford), 9/4: This Willie Haggas trained filly has hinted at better but seems to find ways to fail. The appearance of James Doyle back in the saddle is a definite plus, and the tons of early pace on here should allow him to time this filly’s effort to optimum effect.
Wentworth Falls, (2015 Newmarket), 9/4: This looks like a match, or more specifically a rematch, between Wentworth Falls and Summerghand. The latter win by a short head in a recent meeting, and a 1lb pull in the weights should mean an effective dead heat. The stiffer finish here may just help Wentworth Falls’ finishing effort and he gets the nod.
