The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Royal Brave, (1510 Musselburgh), 1pt win, 7/2 generally available
Loves nothing more than this course where he has registered four wins including here in May off 82. A mark of 84 looks workable and he ran really well again last time when reunited with Danny Tudhope in a stronger race at Ripon. He can outclass these opponents.
Mitcd, (1430 Catterick), 3/1: This mare has been mostly known as a hurdler, but she hinted at flat ability in a couple of all weather runs before winning at Hamilton. She was a good second at Carlisle last time and could have more to offer stepping back up in trip against a pretty ordinary bunch.
Our Charlie Brown, (1530 Catterick), 15/2: absolutely loves it around here with three wins. Was probably very unlucky when beaten here on his last visit, since which time he has continued to run well on less suitable tracks. Drawn slightly wide, but there is plenty of pace on which should stretch the field and ensure he doesn’t end up too wide.
Rose Marmara, (1700 Catterick), 9/2: one of several course specialists in the lineup, she has won all three visits here at 6f and 7f. This 6f promises to be a blitz with several confirmed pacesetters and that should set the race up for those with proven stamina. Extrasolar also fits the bill, but Rose looks better in at the weights.
