The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Dream Catching, (1505 Brighton), 1pt win, 7/4 generally available
Gradually improving in a lightly raced career, and recorded a first win on first sight of Brighton, making all to spreadeagle the field. The distant third has won again since, and with the Balding stable in flying form he should follow up here.
Whitecrest, (1400 Brighton), 9/2: veteran 10yo mare has four course wins, and showed she was no has-been when winning at Nottingham this summer. Has run with credit in defeat since, and now returns to her favourite patch in a race where some penalised runners look to have plenty to do.
Georgian Manor, (1915 Chelmsford), 9/2: Sir Michael Stoute’s 3yo progressed from some decent all weather efforts to win two turf races, the latest one in eye catching fashion. Has lost since in a trappy 4 runner affair, but this should suit, and Ryan Moore up top cannot be bettered.
Lyford, (2045 Chelmsford), 7/2: comes here after a good second at Kempton and is one of the few of these to have form exactly at this trip. The 3yo stays on the same mark as for that close runner up effort, An day can go one better in a pretty weak race.
