A nice 9/2 SP for yesterday’s nap Mukalal was a welcome change of luck.

NAP OF THE DAY: Inexes, (1615 Carlisle), 2pts win, 3/1 generally available
Last won a race off a mark of 77 on a stiff track in heavy ground. Has had a long wait for those conditions that has seen his rating slip to just 70, but today at Carlisle on heavy ground, and with a promising last effort to build on, everything points at a full return of form.
El Astronaute, (1500 Doncaster), 10/3: has been a hugely consistent handicapper culminating in a nice win when we picked him last time at York. Global Applause has a similar claim. There is not much between them, with the handicapper just favouring the Astronaute and we agree with race tactics also likely to suit.
Zeshov, (1535 Doncaster), 5/1: a few questions to answer for Zeshov. Can he give his best away from Musselburgh, and how has he fared in the mixed bag of jockeys. Well Tony Culhane is one of the best in this race and he can steer Zeshov to a simple win.
So Near So Farhh, (1725 Carlisle, 11/2: has a basement rating and consequently a featherweight to carry. Has been looking better over stamina tests and today gets heavy ground which on balance should suit. The wiry strength of lightweight Franny Norton is a huge plus.
