It’s the turn of the Manchester clubs to enter the Champions League tonight, after Liverpool won but Spurs lost last night.
Manchester City are at home, taking on Lyon. The hosts are strong favourites for the tie – they have started the season strongly while Lyon have only won two of their opening five league games.
Goal expectations are high and thus it’s tricky to find adequate prices about any of the City forwards scoring. We’ll take a chance that Raheem Sterling scores at least two in the game.
Manchester United have to travel to take on Young Boys of Bern. United have had some difficulties away from home in the league, the defeat to Brighton springs to mind, but come into this game on the back of a confidence boosting win at previously unbeaten Watford.
One of the players who has impressed for United this season has been the lanky midfielder Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian’s height is sure to cause problems for the YB defenders from set pieces, and we look for him to score.
Man City/Lyon: Sterling to score at least two goals, 1 pt, at 13/2, William Hill
YB/Man United: Fellaini to score at anytime, 1 pt, at 5/1, Paddy Power
