Premier League: Sharp shooting Sergio…

It looks like the Premier League has saved the best until last this elongated weekend, with Tottenham hosting Manchester City.

Spurs have made their best start to a Premier League season, winning seven of their first nine games, but enter this match as distinct underdogs. That’s the power of this Manchester City side. Spurs have lost 10 of the last 15 meetings between these two, and the corresponding fixture last year saw an easy win for the visitors. The wide open spaces of Wembley suits City’s style, even if there are some doubts about the state of the pitch after an NFL game there yesterday.

We find it difficult to see past a City win tonight, especially as Spurs have an important League Cup match two days later. The question is how to profit from that belief given City are odds on.

City were very good midweek against Shakhtar Donetsk and still could rest leading scorer Sergio Aguero. We think a fresh Aguero could cause Spurs a lot of trouble, and take the enhanced 4/1 that SkyBet offers that he opens the scoring tonight.

Recommendations: Aguero to score first, 1 pt, at 4/1, SkyBet
