NAP OF THE DAY: Erick Le Rouge, (1545 Bangor), 1pt win, 6/1 generally available
A Williams family affair for trainer Jane and jockey Chester. Both are underrated by the markets in their respective roles, and can offer decent value. Erick Le Rouge is entitled to have improved enormously on last season. That was juvenile hurdling at the highest level, and he shaped with promise even though he had neither flat experience nor jumps experience. With a season break and some maturing, we can expect a stronger performance today.
Boy In A Bentley, (1335 Bangor), 5/2: has form like a postcode, most recently a UP2F array. Was tanking along in front when falling last time at Wincanton. That showed he is ready to win and his previous second here says he can deliver on the course
Ballyantics, (1410 Bangor), 5/2: could be a double for trainer Neil Mulholland. Has always had the look of a chaser in the making, his fencing debut was an excellent second here and he is entitled to build on that especially given the paucity of opposition,
Diamond Rock, (1515 Bangor), 7/2: winner of this race last year after warming up with a poor effort. Has had the same warm-up here, but looks nicely weighted and ready to register.
