NAP OF THE DAY: Mr Minerals, (1900 Kempton), 1pt win, 7/2 generally available
Was rated in the high 80s in the Spring, and may have been running better than his form figures suggest since. The handicapper has been generous enough to drop him to just 76, he has had a short break and a wind operation, and he now gets the superb Nicola Currie claiming an additional 3lbs. Plenty of pace on here should suit his home up tactics and he can come fast and late for the win.
Crowned Eagle, (1800 Kempton), 13/8: has plenty going for him here. Likes the track, winning the valuable Roseberry handicap here in the Spring, and has remained in decent form since. Likes to front run and should get an uncontested lead here. Class, conditions and tactics all in his favour.
Golden Iris, (1830 Kempton), 6/1: the short priced Muneyra has been a massive favourite in all three runs and is so again here. A mark of 75 looks generous but she still has a lot to prove. Golden Iris has far less to prove having quickened impressively to win here from the front last time. She is drawn to repeat those tactics and an extra 4lbs is hardly punitive.
Broad Appeal, (1930 Kempton), 4/1: won here on his last visit in April beating some in form horses off 62. A mark of 65 now looks fair and his turf form since has been very consistent. The return to Kempton looks ideal and he must have a solid chance in a poor race.
