The Daily Yankee
NAP OF THE DAY: Firmament, (1715 Chelmsford), 1pt win, 5/2 generally available
Consistent and regular performer with career course form of 3212. That last second was arguably his best run this season, and yet he has slipped to his lowest mark for two years. The O’Meara Tudhope combo remain in good form, and this looks winnable for the class act in the race.
Kingston, (1510 Huntingdon), 13/8: bang in form with two recent wins. Promises to be suited by today’s conditions, gets the useful 7lb claim of jockey James Nixon, and is faced with a very beatable field in opposition.
Irish Propechy, (1430 Hereford), 7/2: is a useful little handicap stacked with promise, few more so that Irish Propechy. He was a winner first time out in both seasons to date, has always looked a chaser in the making and gets the chance to show that here. Must go close with a clear round.
Mainsail Atlantic, (1815 Chelmsford), 3/1: has been running consistently but still a maiden. Has only once ventured into handicaps, but looks prime now to make amends.
