PGA Tour: Jim to concentrate on himself…

The PGA Tour heads to Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia for the RSM Classic. This course is a short par 70, near the coast, which tends to reward accuracy rather than length.

Favourite this week is Webb Simpson, and as well as he has played this season this tends to illustrate the number of top players missing.

This type of course seems right up Jim Furyk’s street. The experienced American has been wrapped up in his Ryder Cup’s captaincy over the last couple of years, but has now been released to concentrate on his own game. He finished tied sixth last weekend in Mexico, and we’ll take a chance of him this week.

Our second selection is Russell Henley. He hasn’t had a good year, but showed signs last weekend of coming back into form. He has an excellent record around this course, playing four times and posting top ten finishes in his last three. We’ll take a punt.

Recommendations:

Furyk 0.5 pts each way at 50/1, 1/4 the odds for the first five places, Ladbrokes

Henley 0.5 pts each way at 33/1, 1/4 the odds for the first five places, bet365
