Tuesday Yankee: Too good to be true…

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Toosey, (1350 Southwell), 1pt win, 10/3 generally available

This Irish raider has already successfully landed two UK chases.  That may not be the only string to his now as he showed last week back home in Thurles when going down by a neck to well backed in form winner.  These mini-fence obstacles should be ideal and he can strike again whilst in good nick.

Manwell, (1250 Southwell), 5/1:  a low grade chase in which the returning Manwell and Ben Arthur have great chances to break their ducks over fences.  Both are possibly on winning marks in this company, and whilst race fitness is uncertain, Manwell’s proven course and good ground form is persuasive against Ben Arthur’s almost exclusively soft ground history.

Too Much Too Soon, (1300 Fakenham), 3/1:  has won one from five over fences for the Skelton yard, being a closely beaten favourite in all four other runs. Now switches to hurdles, and that could add a new lease of life.  Jockey Bridget Andrews takes over from partner Harry Skelton and she can make all.

Reticent Angel, (1410 Lingfield), 11/4:  did exceptionally well to get up on the line to win at Chelmsford last time after a tricky start.  She looks well drawn here, and trainer Clive Cox has booked Lingfield King Adam Kirby to do the steering.  She can follow up.
