Premier League: Wembley red card

There’s only one live game in the Premier League today, but it’s a game to savour. Chelsea travel across London to take on Tottenham at Wembley.

Both teams have started the season well – Chelsea are unbeaten over the first 12 games of the season and lie just four points off the top, while Spurs are a further point back.

What’s also clear is these two teams don’t like each other. In many ways this has become the London derby with the most steam, overtaking the North London equivalent. Spurs face hate Chelsea’s ‘new’ money and the associated success while Blues’ fans are very dismissive of Tottenham’s ‘history’.

Tottenham are a point behind their rivals and can’t afford a defeat in this fixture. Chelsea also need to keep in touch with the two teams above them.

This probably means a draw, but we’ll take a punt that the off field animosity translates into a sending off in the match, and maybe even more.

Recommendations: Red card in the game, 1 pt, at 4/1, bet365
