The Daily Yankee:
NAP OF THE DAY: Barry’s Jack, (1400 Carlisle), 1pt win, 5/2 generally available
Brian Ellison’s contender won twice here in late 2017, both times off a mark of 107. Couldn’t deliver at other tracks afterwards off higher marks , but was a resurgent second when returning here recently back off the 107 rating. Doesn’t have a lot to beat and can do so with ease.
Undressed, (1410 Fairyhouse), 4/1: is reaching veteran stage having shown some promise for trainer Michael Hourigan. New trainer Willie Mullins often does this well with this type of import and can be expected to go well in this marathon.
Justatenner, (1500 Carlisle), 10/3: has been in flying form for this relatively new yard. Is flying up the weights but he travels with ease and stays and that can win the day against ordinary opponents.
Jezki, (1510 Fairyhouse), 16/1: a race strong on numbers, but many look too close to veteran Champion Hurdler Jezki. He has toiled over the last few years in better races but now takes a big step down in class and a rating of 150 is a good indicator of the fall from his peak. He can spring a result with a glimpse of the glory days.
