It’s the Premier League again, and the teams that have drawn the short straw to play in Saturday’s early game after a bruising midweek session are Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Both teams won midweek but at a cost, with Bournemouth losing Lewis Cook and Liverpool Joe Gomez to long-term injuries.
Bournemouth have been very difficult to beat at home this season and are sure to give Liverpool a tough game, but the Reds are likely to benefit from being able to rest their key players on Wednesday.
Striker Roberto Firmino hasn’t been playing his best of late, but came off the bench to score Wednesday. He is the sort to go on a run and we can get a nice price on him scoring at anytime today.
The early evening kickoff is a real humdinger, Chelsea hosting Manchester City.
The home team will be keen to rebound after Wednesday’s surprise defeat by Wolves but now face possibly to beat side in Europe.
These are the games that Pep Guardiola has built his strong squad for, and one of his stars this season, Raheem Sterling, is likely to return to the team after being rested midweek. We’re not sure how the game will end up, but we’ll take Sterling to mark his return with a goal.
The late game sees Tottenham travel to Leicester. Spurs ran out easy winners midweek against Southampton while Leicester struggled to get an away point at the bottom club Fulham.
This would tend to suggest Spurs have the better chance this evening, and we would agree. We’re going to side with Tottenham’s talisman Harry Kane to score today, continuing his current three game scoring run.
Recommendations: Firmino (Liverpool), Sterling (Man City) and Kane (Tottenham) all to score at anytime as a treble, 1 pt, at approximately 14/1, Paddy Power
