Saturday Yankee: Royal can flush bookies

The Daily Yankee

NAP OF THE DAY:  Royal Vacation, (1535 Sandown), 1pt win, 10/3 generally available

Last won with a runaway Cheltenham win in Jan 2017. Hadn’t shown much since until a very good runner up in a high quality  Cheltenham marathon last month.  That form should have him close here, but he can be expected to improve for that seasonal debut.

Notwhatiam, (1300 Aintree), 9/2:  on a roll since joining the Skeltons. Won well at Uttoxeter last time looking like he had more to give in a truer run race.  Well there should be plenty of pace on today, Looks a contender.

Man Of Plenty, (1425 Sandown), 12/1:  yep he’s back – the king of enhanced each way terms – always one place out of the frame. He runs this course well, doesn’t mind the soft ground and could well hit the frame again

Captain Redbeard, (1515 Aintree), 13/2:  looks to have been aimed at this.  Was sufficiently progressive on heavy Spring ground to be thrown into the National here.  Only got to the 7th then but had taken to it well until then.   Has had two nice prep runs in quicker ground and looks set to leave that way behind in the mud.
