With most of the Premier League’s big guns in action in Europe this coming week, Sunday’s football program has an unusual look. There’s only one game, and it consists of Newcastle hosting Wolves.
The atmosphere surrounding these two sides has been very different this season – Wolves have been impressive in their return to the big time, taking points off Man City, Man United, Arsenal and even beating Chelsea last time out, while Newcastle have struggled. Yet they find themselves separated by only two places in the table.
We’re unsure where this game heads – Wolves come off a tremendous win over Chelsea while Newcastle have won three of their last five.
However, we note that the referee for this game is Mike Dean, an official that handed out seven yellows and a red last time out. We think this game could be feisty as both try to claim what could be a vital three points.
Newcastle midfielder Mohamed Diame has been booked three times in 15 games, a 4/1 shot. Unibet offers 9/2, which we think offers value given the referee and the type of game expected.
Recommendations: Diame to be booked, 1 pt, at 9/2, Unibet
