The European Tour stays in the sunshine of South Africa this week, with the Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane hosting the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
We at Lap of the Odds liked the top of the market last week, but chose the wrong player as Louis Oosthuizen ran away with the tournament at the expense of our selection Matt Wallace.
Fellow South African Brandon Stone is the defending champion while Charl Schwartzel has won three times. They will both be hard to beat, but we were very impressed with the way Oosthuizen won last week and will back him this week despite his short price.
Our each way selection is Oliver Wilson. The Englishman was playing Ryder Cup golf 10 years ago but has slipped back since then. However, he has won twice on the Challenge Tour since early August and finished joint third last week. We’ll take a punt at a big price.
Oosthuizen to win, 1 pt, at 5/1, SkyBet
Wilson 0.5 pts each way at 125/1, 1/5 the odds for the first six places, SkyBet
