NAP OF THE DAY: Air Navigator, (1340 Exeter), 1pt win, 4/1 generally available
Made a victorious chase and handicap debut off 117 at Ffos Las last month. The handicapper raised him just 4lbs for that – but with the second and third finishing first and second in races at Newbury yesterday that is starting to look pretty lenient. Has been given a fair break between races which should suit.
Big Time Frank, (1440 Exeter), 9/2: was just pipped in a heavy ground duel at Lingfield last time. Has to beat form horse Colmers Hill, but receives over a stone, which whilst justified on ratings will still be physically testing on this stiff track in the mud, which can swing it Frank’s way.
Lucky Deal, (2000 Chelmsford), 4/1: a very decent handicap in which Wolves winner Aircraft Carrier looks a bit too tight. Lucky Deal has won his last two, and his late closing the style leaves him only a cumulative 4lbs higher. He looks dangerous off this mark and can land the hat trick.
King Robert, (2030 Chelmsford), 6/1: has been a while since he won, but has run well lately and has now switched to the useful Charlie Wallis yard. Can make an immediate impact on stable debut having landed a perfect draw.
