FA Cup: Wolves to stun Reds…

The third round of the FA Cup is completed tonight with the tie between Wolves and Liverpool at Molineux.

The two sides played this fixture just a few weeks ago in the league with Liverpool grinding out a hard fought 2-0 win. However, just days after a tough loss to Manchester City, Liverpool are likely to rest first team players which could make this match tough to call.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already indicated that he will not be judged on his record in this competition, which tends to suggest that he takes it less seriously than the league and European Cup, understandably. And his record in the FA Cup is weak.

Wolves, on the other hand, have made an impressive start to life in the Premier League. They are in no danger of relegation and can afford to take this competition seriously. Wolves have already caused the best teams in the league difficulties at home and thus are likely to trouble a below strength Liverpool.

This is a difficult call without knowing the starting teams, but we’ll side with the home team and will enhance the odds by suggesting both teams score.

Recommendation: Wolves to win with both teams scoring, 1 pt, at 6/1, SkyBet
