NAP OF THE DAY: Queen’s Magic, (1305 Chepstow), 1pt win, 10/3 generally available
Was starting to looks a shade disappointing before her handicap debut last time. That was an excellent race at Cheltenham and her fourth might have been better with more luck in running. This is a distinct drop in class and she can make it tell.
Top and Drop, (1410 Chepstow), 4/1: almost worth backing the Venetia Williams horses blind at the moment. This one ran a stinker at Hereford last time, but a previous effort here was promising and given the stunning stable form can be expected to rediscover a spark.
Air De Rock, (1515 Chepstow), 6/4: another for Venetia and he looked set to be one of her wave of winners when still unchallenged before falling late on at Ffos Las. Raised 6lbs but probably would have gotten a whole lot more if standing up. Compensation awaits.
Ballycrystal Court, (1500 Musselburgh), 6/4: Did well, winning impressively here, during his debut season for his small yard. Has now switched to the bigger yard of Nicky Richards and signalled a return to form with a strong second last time. Conditions here look perfect.
