After yesterday’s frost-out, we’ll stick to the all weather today.

NAP OF THE DAY: Pullman Brown, (1405 Southwell), 1pt win, 5/1 generally available
Has shown nothing over hurdles this winter having shown precious little in a turf campaign. But go back to his last all weather run, here in Feb ’17 and he ran very well over an inadequate trip off a mark of 68. Runs here off 50, for a trainer in good form, and with some early price market support indicating there may be some substance to the conjecture that a return to Southwell might be a return to form.
Divine Call, (1335 Southwell), 4/1: essentially a rematch of the a race here two weeks ago. The winner there, Gorgeous General, has won again since and the 7lb weight hike may be enough to foil the repeat. Divine Call looked unlucky in second so the weight swing has to give him a terrific chance. Stable and jockey are in form and he should be favourite in our book.
Bond Angel, (1540 Southwell), 11/2: has been in great form here with 3 wins this winter. Stable and jockey are in fine form too, and Katherine Begley will be hoping she avoids the early scrimmaging followed by lane 8 route that contributed to defeat here last time. That run suggested another win was on the tank, and he can land the odds in an open looking race.
Esprit De Corps, (1610 Southwell), 5/1: a race with plenty of highly inexperienced jockeys. The best here is Nicola Currie, her mount Crosse Fire is interesting but this will be his first time beyond 6f in a career of 92 previous starts. The next best jockey is Joshua Bryan and his mount Esprit De Corps showed signs of improvement last time and is now on a mark of 75, a lifetime lowest and perhaps licence to deliver.
